First class graduate beaten to death over bread

The University of Ibadan first class graduate, Lopuofoni Freedom Ebimitomi has been beaten to death for allegedly stealing bread.

The victim who hailed From Korokorosei community of Southern Ijaw Local Government, of Bayelsa State studied Business Administration (B.Sc) in the South West State.

According to Peoples' 93.1FM in Bayelsa State, he was beaten to death by angry mobs for stealing a bread in the early hour of Tuesday at Honeyhill Tombia Bayelsa State.

Neighbours and friends who witnessed the incident rushed to the scene of the actions and pleaded with the angry youths to allow him leave, begging to pay for the bread in double folds but the angry youths declined the plead of the people as they killed him.

His younger sister, Opuofoni Freeborn Idisemi  lamented that life has been unfair to them since the demise of their father adding that she has no idea of what had led him to steal bread this morning stating that they are used to the hardship of life.

She however points out that despite having uncles who are doing well in government and other places but could not help them.
