Mr Macaroni calls for Aminu's release

Popular skit maker and activist, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni has called on First lady Aisha Buhari to initiate the release of Aminu Adamu who was arrested for alleged defamation of the wife of the president.

 

According to the outspoken skit maker, the first lady should approach the court for necessary action rather than using forced detention against Aminu if she finds Aminu's comment defamatory.

Recall that Aminu Adamu, a student of Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State was arrested by the Department of State Service (DSS) for calling the first lady "fat".

The detention has garnered public's criticisms against the first lady whom they said is misusing political power.

Among those who call the detention unlawful is Mr Macaroni who on Tuesday advised the first lady to go to court if she feels aggrieved by Adamu's comments.

Taking to his Twitter handle, he wrote: "Madam First Lady, you are not God!!! If you have any grievance whatsoever, go to court!!! You are not bigger than the Citizens of Nigeria neither are you bigger than the Law!! You should use your power to serve the people not Oppress them!! Free Aminu!!!"

Earlier, Mr Macaroni criticised Nigerian politicians and their security agents' for arresting citizens while they are unable to put a stop to insecurity in the country.

In the post, he wrote, "Nigerian Politicians and their security agents know how to find citizens when they want to show power and oppress the people. But dem no sabi find terrorists and Kidnappers.
